The PayPal Comprehension Campaign
For years, PayPal had focused on security as their key message. But a strategic evaluation of consumer data showed that the top reason people weren’t using PayPal was actually comprehension. They weren’t worried about the security of their transaction, they didn’t know they could use PayPal to make one! With this information we worked with Jeff Goldblum to explain the basic benefits of PayPal. The campaign increased usage intent by double digits among people who were exposed.
